It originally contained a financial services group working across the wholesale and retail financial spectrum which was later acquired by a major counterparty. As a result we have established a firm with a focus on the development and executor functions of strategy and sound management practice. Management Consulting is the development of powerful relationships with our Clients that forms an integral association with the day-to-day activities and strategies that constitute the ultimate joint commercial objectives. In addition to presenting advisory work we also look to, where appropriate, assist in the implementation or adoption of the agreed outcomes drawing on the core capabilities of PBG’s other divisions. IT Consulting is PBG’s contribution in the PeopleSoft market where we provide world-class consultants specialising in HRMS and Global Payroll. Our areas of expertise are in implementations, upgrades and on-going management. We satisfy the demands for short term and long term commitments. Our consultants have esteemed reputations. Negotiating is our “3rd party” arm’s-length service handling the many and varied deal, transaction or matter based negotiations between corporates or individuals. We service both the commercial and private (including high profile estate settlements) markets in both subject and documentation. The benefits brought by an external party conducting the negotiations or providing assistance as a member of a team are highly favoured. Structured Solutions is the area where we provide options to our Clients where there is either a temporary or permanent challenge. This may be legal, economic, accounting, tax, actuarially, statutory or risk based. Structuring is a solution to the problem. People Development and sales training is a growing global industry. It is a highly competitive niche but PBG’s ability to continually outperform the market and impress our Clients is a great response that we continue to seek. STRUCTURED SOLUTIONS The classic types of structures may incorporate legal entities but there is also the opportunity to alter tact with a new facet or series of intermediation in place that provides reasonable and effective mitigation or alternatives. An example of a Structured Solution is as follows: Company A provides raw materials to Company B who processes and distributes them as value-added products. Company A has the Intellectual Property (IP) to a new product idea for Company B. If Company B were to offer the new product where there is currently no supply but enormous potential demand the upside would be significant. How does Company A (an upstream provider) maintain an interest in the new product without market risk with Company B (a downstream operator)? A structured solution is to establish a JV between Company A and Company B whereby Company A provides the IP and raw materials, Company B provides access to the market with the distribution of the finished product and both companies enjoy the benefits of Company A’s product development despite Company A not having access to the market and Company B not having access to the IP.
